Art Of The Title Sequence - Arlington Road

In my media lesson, i was told to search on Youtube to find a film opening that uses most of the conventions. The film opening i decided to blog about was 'Arlington Road' as my media teacher strongly recommended too. it contains a lot of the opening conventions and because its a really good film.
This title sequence contained a substantial amount of opening conventions as it includes: The Title of the film, which in this case is 'Arlington Road', the names of the production companies, name of actors, name of the director, producer, co-producer and the name of the editor.
The opening is quite original as the person who made the opening uses negative effects which creates a automatic reaction from the views, due to its originality. This opening sequence is effective as it gives the audience an awareness that the film is a thriller. Furthermore the music works well with the sequence as it makes the sequence feel scary. They use many camera angle shots which includes close ups, mid shots and long shots.

Overall i think this is a great film opening as it contains many of the opening conventions and its gives the audience a very good idea of what to look forward too.
