- The figures for suspense genre are higher compared to other genres in 2010 such as the figures for documentry genres eventhough there were more documentry films released. There were 28 suspense films made in 2010 and made a profit of £42,441,123, however there were 57 documentry films released in 2010 but only made a profit of £1,834,067.
In addition figures shown by horror genres shows that it made 26 films in 2010 making a profit of £45,131,491 and 4.5% in the box office. Although horror films had made just two less films than suspense the gross was however more.
In conclusion, this shows that the genre horror films are much more popular than suspense film and suspense films being much more high than documentry films. All of this could be because of the target audience, which are mainly young people who are more likely to watch films such as horror and suspense because they are entertaining.
