1) 38 suspense films were released were released in 2010.
2) The suspense films took 42 million pounds to make (to the nearest million).
3) The genre of film had the highest gross in 2010 was action\adventure.
4) The most popular family genre in 2010 was animation films.
5) The figures for suspense genre films are higher than the documentary genre figures, even though there were more documentary films. There were 57 documentary films made in 2010, and only £1,834,067 was made- on the other hand, for suspense films, only 28 were made but they made £42,441,123. Also, comparing the percentage of how much each of the film genre were part of the box office, documentary was not very popular compared to suspense film: the documentary films were only 0.2% of the box office whereas suspense was 4.2%. Similar figures were shown by the horror genre: it made 26 films in 2010, with the genre gross being £45,131,491 and 4.5% at the box office. Even though it made two less films than the suspense genre, the gross was so much more for horror. Taking all this in to account, this shows that the horror genre is more popular than suspense, but the suspense films is popular than documentaries. This could be because of the audience: young people are more likely to watch films in the cinemas, and they prefer to watch films that will entertain them, not educate them.
